[Amen,] I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about
anything for which they are to pray, it shall be granted to them by
My Heavenly Father. For where two or three are gathered together in
My name, there am I in the midst of them."

Sacrament of Reconcilliation:
LENT 2014 at I.C.
Lent begins on
Wednesday, March 5th.
Our Ash Wednesdays Masses will be at 6:25 & 9:30 a.m. and
5:30 p.m. We have quite a few opportunities for prayer and
spirituality throughout the season.
In order to accommodate people’s work schedules and still allow
attendance at Daily Mass periodically, we will continue a minor
change in the early Daily Mass schedule that we have previously
done for LENT ONLY. The 9:00am Mass will continue Monday through
Friday. However, the first Mass will be:
6:25 a.m. Monday,
7:00 a.m. on Tuesday and Thursday
It is our hope that
the time of the 7:00 a.m. Mass will allow more people to join us
before going to work. Please consider making the effort. You
will not be disappointed! So, the only change is that on Tuesday
and Thursday the early Mass will be at 7:00 a.m. I hope that
this benefits more people.
This year we will continue our weekly evening Daily Mass each
Tuesday of Lent (except Holy Week) at 7:00 p.m. Guest priests
will again preside and preach. We hope your family will make
this a special Lenten sacrifice. This year’s weekly collection
will go to the Brady Faith Center.
Fr. Chris and Deacon Ralph will also offer an Adult
Education/Spirituality series each Wednesday evening from 7:00
to 8:00 in Dwyer Hall, beginning Ash Wednesday. (The Ash Weds.
Session will begin immediately after the 5:30 p.m. Mass). The
series will focus on the Papacy of Pope Francis and the “Francis
We are very pleased to offer another Adult
Education/Spirituality session with Fr. Dave McCallum, SJ of
LeMoyne College. He will give a talk on Sunday, March 30th from
7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The topic is: “Shining Light on our Shadows:
Lenten Inner Work.” Dave is a widely sought out speaker and we
are delighted that he has offered to join us that evening. We
have been very pleased with his presentations in the past.
Additionally, each Monday evening we are pleased to offer
Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament in the Chapel from 6:30 to
7:30 p.m. You are welcome to come for the hour or just a few
minutes; it will be a nice opportunity to take some quiet,
reflective time in prayer during this holy season.
Station of the Cross will be prayed each Friday at Noon.
The Parish Retreat will be on Saturday, March 22nd from 8:30
a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Christ the King Retreat House. Fr. John
Rose will lead the retreat with the theme, “Placing Our Hope and
Trust in the Slow Work of God.” $35 includes lunch. Again,
further information is in this bulletin. These few hours are a
perfect way to center on the importance of this holy season.
The Penance Services for our Pastoral Care Area will take place
at St. Ann’s, Manlius on Sunday, March 16th at 2:00 p.m. and at
St. James, Cazenovia on Wednesday, March 26th at 7:00 p.m.
will follow. Mark your calendars now!
