Baptism Preparation Team: Parents of baptized children make
up the team that assists new parents in coming to a better appreciation of
faith in their children's lives. This is also an opportunity for new
parents to come together and meet one another. The class is held
once a month. Bible Study: Catholics today are becoming more
and more interested in reading and understanding the Bible, beyond what we
hear at Mass. This is evidenced here at IC through the strong
participation in organized courses like "Journey Through the Bible" by
Jeff Cavins and others. Discussion leaders are needed to facilitate
groups and are provided with complete materials and opportunity for
training. Participants and facilitators both report how enlightening
and worthwhile this program is. Marian Holy Hour: Every Thursday at 7:30 p.m. a
group meets in the chapel to pray the rosary for peace in our homes,
families, and hearts. Everyone is welcome to join in using this
powerful prayer to our Blessed Mother. There is no need to sign up
to participate. Just join us on Thursday evenings. Marriage Preparation Team: Couples are needed to facilitate
discussions with those who are engaged to be married here at I.C.
These discussions are based on presentations made by various speakers on
such topics as communication, finances, and the value of faith in
marriage. The time commitment is one Saturday (probably in March)
from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Prayer Ministry: The I.C. Prayer Ministry was
established in 1997 by Marie Michaels and has been a source of consolation
for many. This ministry consists of many devoted people who pray for
those in need. When prayer requests are received, they are sent to
the pray ministry group via email. If you do not have email, don't
worry - prayer requests are received via a phone chain. RCIA Team: Volunteers assist others to join
us as Roman Catholics and/or to
